Borneo has not signed any agreements with mining companies yet, said Mitsubishi. But there are at least three compa바카라사이트nies in the country, and there is talk of setting up a manufacturing park in Borneo to facilitate foreign investment there.
Citing people familiar with the matter, Global Times reported that the government of Borneo was working with the Mitsubishi Motors Co. to provide training. But Mitsubishi declined to comment further.
The report cited local news reports that Mitsubishi was developing training facilities and plans to train 150 indigenous people in the state.
While there are plans for more Mitsubishi vehicles in Borneo, such projects have not yet been launched, according to China Youth Daily, a newspaper based in Borneo.
But the report did suggest that China plans to help indigenous development in that country and could make its presence known through its participation in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, which aims to encourage private sector investment in infrastructure.
China’s President Xi Jinping has pledged to push for the development of Borneo as a “Chinese investment hub.” As in Myanmar, however, this will require a substantial push by government officials — at least for a while.
A spokesman for Borneo’s ruling Pheu Thai Party did not respond to a request for comment.
