SOUTH FIFTH DISTRICT – An 11th-grader in a North Park elementary school school was hit by a stray bullet fired by a classmate, but he’s expected to make a full recovery.
The boy’s name was not released due to the fact he is a juvenile. A spokesman for the North Park Schools district said the boy was not injured and has 여주출장마사지 여주출장안마no criminal history. He’s expected to be fine.
District spokesman Andy Lavin confirmed this morning that the school has been set up to give students “freedom of choice of whether they want to carry a weapon and we’re working with the families to come up with an arrangement.”
The school is at 11110 S. High St., across the street from a park about a block from the home of a resident who had been shot five times in the back Saturday morning.
The boy’s parents, Robert and Elizabeth Fenn, said they received a phone call about 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the boy’s mother, who was visiting from his native Ohio and did not want to say what happened. Robert Fenn said he had a 9mm pistol which was being kept in the boy’s room during the attack and was afraid that the weapon might fall out of his back pocket, so he and Elizabeth put it away in a storage unit.
Elizabeth Fenn, whose son was at the time shot four times, left the sch바카라ool at about 11 a.m. Saturday because she didn’t want to be alone with her son. She said her son has been fine.
“He’s doing better now,” said Fenn, 53. “He’s fine.”
Robert Fenn said that his son had been in the school since June because he was enrolled at Fairview Central Junior High School.
Elizabeth Fenn said it was clear that the gunman targeted both school staff members and her daughter. She said the gunman was dressed in a dark trench coat, dark clothing and black jeans.
“He had his shirt down low. He was wearing black,” she said. “There were no words to describe the shock he had. He’s going through all the emotions I was g강릉출장마사지oing through on the way out to the hospital.”
The shooting began when the child, identified in news reports as Joseph Deleon, 8, was hit in the head by an object the boy had allegedly thrown at a teacher’s feet about 10:40 a.m.
